WELCOME BACK - to Bishop James, Noelyn and family. We all hope that they have had a refreshing holiday and that their batteries are fully recharged!

THANK YOU – to Revd. Julia French who has taken responsibility for organising our Sunday services, the midweek services, funerals and weddings as well as dealing with the many pastoral enquiries in Bishop James’ absence. Julia and Mike are having a well earned break away this weekend and Julia will be on holiday until the end of August.

MOTHERS UNION EUCHARIST AT SOUTH BRENT - Mary Steer, the MU Diocesan President has invited members and friends to attend the MU Eucharist at South Brent Church on Thursday 7^th August, 10.15am and a Faith Lunch. Some of the Melanesian Brothers will be staying there giving a chance to meet the group. See Mavis or Rose if you are interested and need transport.

ADVANCE NOTICE - Gifts and Talents Day - Saturday 20^th September. Once again, we hope you will take part in what was a really exciting event in our calendar last year, as part of the St Maurice Music Festival. The idea is to encourage folk to come and display or demonstrate their talents and hobbies. This could be any creative art (needlework, painting, model making, photography, floristry etc) or a musical or dramatic offering, or produce of any kind (veg, jams etc). There will be music, food, coffee and a quiet corner for prayer and candle lighting. It’s also a chance for people to visit and make their offering of money to Church on that day. Come along and soak up the atmosphere.
