MARGARET LUGAR RETIRES AS CHURCHWARDEN

After eighteen years Margaret Lugar has retired as a Churchwarden and a presentation was made to her on Sunday 9th April 2006 to mark her years of dedicated service to the Church.

Margaret has a long association with Plympton St. Maurice. She was baptised, confirmed, and married in the Parish. Her three sons became servers, choir members and bell ringer, and were all married in St. Maurice. Subsequently 3 of her grand children have also been baptised in the Parish
.

In her role as Church Warden Margaret has served with 3 Priests and steered the Church through a long interregnum. She was thanked by Lorraine one of Bishop James' daughter for the warm welcome she gave them on their arrival from the Solomon Islands.

Margaret will continue to serve the Parish in a pastoral role for which she has been much respected and loved, and also remains Stewardship Secretary.
